Collective Minds Create Better Ideas!

Recently I was reading another blog about Napoleon Hill's famous success manual.  I picked up my copy and thumbed through to Rule #9.  Shortening it's great message to a few lines:  a collective group of minds is more likely to keep a person stimulated while developing new ideas for wealth.

By now, I'm sure that everyone who knows us is tired of hearing about how Neighbor Helping Neighbor (NHN) started but here I go again!  I attempted to set this program up several times over the past few years.  I am a Realtor and as the market tries to stabilize, I was worried where my next client would come from.  My friend Jake (Mermin Inspections) would join me for coffee before we started our respective business days.  But one day, Jake brought me a program that would bring us both clients.  We set out a plan and both of us got busier with clients.

Soon our once a week morning meeting started to include Jan, another Realtor, Karen, a mortgage counselor and Scott and Jessica, our web designers.  The owner of the coffee shop even sat in every once in a while to discuss ideas.

The idea was discussed to bring more people into our group.  We discussed web marketing, special event marketing, out of the box marketing and yes, even blogging!  We wanted to share our knowledge with others and learn new ways to find clients from them.  And that was our humble beginning.  We have all grown from knowing each other and each has brought a distinct talent to the group.

Napoleon Hill was obviously way ahead of his time.  But his rule of collective minds holds truer than ever.  As our economy slows, we need the collective minds of our peers and our friends to survive and grow.  We are looking for survivors to join us and become our friends as we challenge the economy daily!

Credit repair is frightening to the individual who either has credit issues effecting their score or one who preceives their score is being effected.  All too often the problems are smaller than the perception of the problem and individuals make credit decisions based upon a false assumption.  Other individuals certainly have credit issues that need to be addressed and cured.  Again, perception is everything...if individuals feel the problem (s)are impossible the credit problem persists.   Finding an indivudal to partner with to assess the depth of the problems(s) and the cure of the problem(s) is the greatest part of the battle.  A credit repair partner should evaluate the credit, list the problems, and provide practical advise on curing the problem(s).  With good coaching credit can repaired, scores increase--all without paying a fee.
YOU CONTROL YOUR CREDIT--IT DOES NOT CONTROL YOU.

Ultra Violet light: Does it really work?

When DNA is exposed to UV light, It's chemical bonding characteristics are altered so that cell reproduction no longer takes place - rendering the micro-organism harmless.

 dna enlargment

The ultraviolet region of the electromagnetic spectrum has a frequency just below visible light. Ultraviolet light is nature's way of controlling micro-organisms.Outdoors, germs are naturally regulated by ultraviolet light from the sun.wave length graf

Ultraviolet light equipment produces ultraviolet light at the specific wavelength of 254mn (nanometers). At this wavelength the UV light is most effective at inactivation. As an airborne micro-organism passes through your heating and /or air conditioning system, the UV light penetrates the organism's membrane and alters its genetic material (DNA). With altered DNA, the micro-organism will no longer be able to reproduce, making it effectively harmless. Further, without the ability to reproduce, and due to the short lifespan of most micro-organisms, the population of them in the air diminishes rapidly and dramatically.

FINAL NOTES:In the past few years,as the popularity of Ultra-Violet lights has increased, information about these lights has been as varied as the air conditioning service and salesman's pitch. Here are a few things every home owner should know before having one of these installed on your system. In the case of UV lights, size does matter. The better units are going to have longer bulbs and are going to come in pairs. I always advise my clients to spend as much as they can afford on any IAQ product. One of the most important things to remember that a UV light does not clean an evaporator coil, blower motor or the interior of a Air Handler. A Ultra-Violet light will keep them clean. In other words everything inside that air handler needs to be cleaned before the light is installed in the air handler. I recommend to my clients that they get a unit that has two bulbs, one is placed on the return side just below the coil. The second bulb is placed on the supply side just after the evaporator coil and before the blower motor. Many customers have asked me, "If I have a UV light do I need a filter." The answer is an absolute yes. Again I tell my clients Buy the best filter system you can afford. I will write another bog soon about these filters. To recap: Buy a dual bulb UV light, buy the best one you can afford, have it installed after your A/C system is cleaned, better yet when a new one is installed. Bulbs should be replaced ever year. The better units will have a ten year warranty on the power head.
